This year's food show will also include a Culinary Arts Contest which is a timed event!

This is how the Cheese Festival began way back in 1976 ................
              with a 'cheese food contest'.

      Now There are two divisions: Junior (on Friday for 18 or under) and Senior Division (on Saturday)  Anyone can enter!!
Entries must be in place by 10 am

Culinary Contest and Show

The 'cooking show' will be on Friday morning at 11:00 am.  Each contestant group will be given a basket containing some items, including cheese and beef.   The participants are going to have to come up with an appetizer in a specific time frame.

  It will be a show that spectators can watch. Afterwards, there will be judging, prizes, sampling, and questions.

 Participants will create a dish with cheese!

                            The six divisions in the cheese food contest are         -- Main Dish - Snacks - Desserts - Breads - Salads & Dressings - Vegetables!

Creamy Caramel Dip
       Chelsea Clouse

1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup (8 oz.) sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp lemon juice
1 cup cold milk
1 pkg 3 - 4 oz instant vanilla pudding
assorted fruit

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth, add sour cream, vanilla, lemon juice, milk and pudding mix, beat well after each addition. Cover and chill at least one hour. Serve with assorted fresh fruit.
