The 2013 Watonga Cheese Festival is now the
Watonga Cheese & Wine Festival!
Watonga Cheese Festival has partnered with Oklahoma Grape Industry Council (OGIC) to host the first statewide wine competition, featuring an esteemed panel of judges from throughout Oklahoma. Judges for the event include Clayton Bahr, Premium Wines representative and host of Oklahoma’s only wine radio show, Tasting Notes; Amie Hendrickson, general manager and sommelier at Edmond Wine Shop; Greg Horton, food writer for the Oklahoma Gazette; and William McGlynn, Ph.D., horticultural products processing specialist at Oklahoma State University.
Festival Attendees are invited to participate in the judging with the "Peoples Pairing", offering a souvenir glass, tasting of the wines and pairing them with cheeses. (Additional fee applies. 21 and over only)

Located at the Watonga City Hall on both Friday and Saturday, stop in to marvel at the talented handiwork from past and present.

Race The Rail!
Saturday, October 12th
Bicyclist will be challenged to race the train from Watonga to Geary and back while the train just travels from Geary to Watonga. Interesting!
Fiber Arts Show
All fiber arts included: spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, felting, lace making, braiding, dyeing raising fiber animals and plants and more.

Cheese Tasting & Cooking
Celebrate cheese by snacking through the Cheese Tasting Line or helping yourself to the cheese dishes in the Merchant Cheese Tour.
Feast your eyes on the winning entries in the Cheese Food Contest and cheer on the junior chefs in the Culinary Arts Contest.
Plan to take home a work of art by shopping at the Art Show where you'll find inspiration for your home or office by artists from around the state, working in several different mediums.
